| Original text | Οι βασικοί χοροί του νησιού ήταν ο Μπάλος και ο Καρσιλαμάς. Στην αρχή χόρευε το ζευγάρι Μπάλο κρατημένοι με ένα μαντήλι. Οταν η μουσική έκοβε τον Μπάλο άφηναν το μαντήλι, το οποίο έβαζε ο άντρας στον ώμο του ή η κοπέλα το κρατούσε στο χέρι, και χόρευαν Καρσιλαμά αντικρυστά. Επίσης χόρευαν Καλαματιανό, Σηλυβριανό σε ζευγάρια κρατώντας μαντήλι. Υπήρχαν ακόμη αντρικοί χοροί, ο Χασάπικος και ο Ζεϊμπέκικος, τους οποίους χόρευαν ανά δύο. |
| English translation | The basic dances of the island were Mpalos and Karsilamas. In the beginning the couple was dancing Mpalos held by one kerchief. When the music stopped for Mpalos, the dancers would leave the kerchief, which the man would later put on his shoulder, or the girl would hold it in her hand, and they danced Karsilamas opposite each other. They were also dancing Kalamatiano, Silyvriano in pairs, holding the kerchief. There were also male dances: Chasapikos and Zeimpekikos, which they were dancing in pairs. |
