| Original text | Αλατσατιανή παραλλαγή του σμυρναίικου Μπάλλου "Καλέ συ Παναγιά μου" που συνήθως παίζεται με ταψί και τουμπελέκι. Το "γύρισμα" του τραγουδιού, πιο εύθυμο και πεταχτό, τραγουδιέται από όλη την παρέα και χορεύεται ελεύθερα από τους χορευτές, που στο πρώτο μέρος κρατιούνται με μαντήλι. Τέτοιοι "διπλοί" σκοποί του Μπάλλου, αργοί και πιο γρήγοροι, συνηθίζονταν πολύ στην Δυτική Ερυθραία (Λυθρί, Ρεϊς-Νερέ, Τσεσμές κ.ά.). [...] |
| English translation | A variation of Smyrnean Mpallos “Hey, you, my Mother of God”, which is usually played with tapsi and toumpeleki. The “spin” of the song, merrier and faster, is sung by the entire group and danced by the dancers who hold each other by the kerchiefs during the first part of the dance. Such “dual” types of Mpallos - slow and fast - are typical for West Erythraia (Lythri, Reis-Nere, Tsesmes et al.). [...] |
