| Original text | Ο "χορός της καντήλας", δηλαδή του ποτηριού, επειδή οι χορευτές έχουν τοποθετήσει πάνω στο κεφάλι τους ένα ποτήρι ή μια κούζα (μικρή στάμνα κυλινδρική) γεμάτη νερό που, παρ' όλες τις κινήσεις και τα γυρίσματα του χορευτή, όχι μόνο στέκουν ακίνητα πάνω στην κελλέν (κεφαλή) του, αλλά ούτε και σταγόνα νερού δεν χύνεται έξω από αυτά. |
| English translation | “The dance of kandila”, that is, of the glass, because the dancers have put a glass or a kouza (small cylindrical pitcher) full of water on their heads which, despite all the moves and swirls of the dancer, not only stay immobile on his kellen (head), but also not even a drop of water spills out of it. |
