| Original text | Ολοι οι συγγενείς και φίλοι πρέπει να "πλουμίσουν" τον βιολάρην, δηλαδή πρέπει να ρίψουν χρήματα διά τον βιολάρην εις δίσκον τοποθετημένον επί καθίσματος έμπροσθεν αυτού. Συνήθως με την ευκαιρίαν αυτήν "κολλούν της νύφης", επικολλώσι δηλαδή χρυσά νομίσματα εις το πρόσωπον της νύμφης, τα οποία κατόπιν περιέρχονται εις την ιδιοκτησίαν της, και πλουμίζουν τον γαμβρόν με μανδήλια μεταξωτά ή κεντητά. Δεν παραλείπουν όμως να κολλήσουν και της κουμέρας, η οποία χορεύει με την νύφην. |
| English translation | All the relatives and friends have to offer money to the violinist, which means that they have to throw money to a tray which is placed on a seat in from of him. As it happens the also stick money onto the bride, they stick golden banknotes to bride's face and the money becomes hers and they offer silk or embroidered kerchiefs to the groom. They don't leave of the mother-in-law that dances with the bride. |
