Original text	Αρχιζαν να κτυπούν παλαμάκια στον ρυθμόν που έπαιζε ο τσαμπονιέρης ή ο λυριτζής, αντάμα με τις βαριές χτυπιές του "τουμπιού" που έκανε το τεζαρισμένο πετσί του να τρέμη. Τότε τα παλληκάρια άνοιγαν τις σουφρομένες παραδοσακκούλες με τις μπακερένιες δεκάρες ή τους "πενταρόλους" και τα έρριχναν στον τζαμπουνιέρη. Τότε εκείνος άφηνε το καλάμι της τσαμπούνας να πέση από το στόμα του, για να πη μια ρήμα γεμάτη παινέματα και σαν τελείωνε τη ρήμα έχωνε πάλι με λαχτάρα το καλαμάκι στο στόμα του σαν μωρό στο βυζί της μάννας.
English translation	They started to clasp their hand in the rhythm that was played by a bagpipist ora a lyrist, in harmony with the deep beats of a „toumbos” drum, that made its strung skin tremble. Then the young men opened their sacks with 10- or 5-nominal coins and threw them to the bagpipist. Then he let fall his bagpipe mouthpiece annd was singing a short praising song. Then he took on the mounthpiece like a baby [sucks] its mother's breast.
