| Original text | Οταν τελειώσει το φαγητό, ο κουμπάρος, που εξουσιάζει τα όργανα, ανοίγει το χορό. Χορεύει με τον γαμπρό Καρσιλαμά, η δε κουμπάρα κρατάει δύο αναμμένα κεριά. Μετά χορεύουν οι καλεσμένοι του και αποχωρούνε οι κουμπάροι. Τώρα θα διασκεδάσουν οι καλεσμένοι του γαμπρού ως τα ξημερώματα της Κυριακής. |
| English translation | The dance used to begin after the food. The father in law used to lead the dance while holding a bottle in his hand. He used to dance three circles and then throw the bottle on a stone which the godfather had placed in the middle of the dance. If it was broken the first time he threw it, he used to say ''the bride is healthy'' .If it was broken the second time they used to say ''The bride is very healthy''.All this time the bride used to pray and after she pulled up the veil and started to dance. |
