| Original text | Την Δευτέραν του γάμου, αφού χορέψωσιν αρκετά ζεύγη ανδρών και γυναικών, χορεύει το ανδρόγυνον και αρχίζει το "πλούμισμα" του γαμπρού και της νύμφης. Μεταξύ πολλών, κρεμούν εις τους ώμους του γαμβρού μαντήλια μεταξωτά και νιψομάντηλα και μαντήλια πλουμιστά εις την νύμφην. Αφού χορέψωσι επ' αρκετόν και γίνει το σχετικόν πλούμισμα εις το "πιάτον της νύμφης" όπου είναι στολισμένον με ένα μαντήλι μεταξωτόν, παίρνει η νύμφη το μαντήλι με τα χρήματα και ο γαμβρός σπάζει το πιάτον με θόρυβον. |
| English translation | In the wedding Monday, when many pairs of men and women have dances, there dances and groom-bride pair and then the plousima starts. Among other things people hang on the arms of the groom silk kerchiefs and towels (nipsomantilia) and woolen (? - ploumista) kerchiefs onto the bride. When they have danced enough and there has been a proper ploumisma on the „bride's plate” that is decorated with a silk kerchief, the brides takes the kerchief with money and the groom break the plate witha thud. |
