| Original text | Οταν έρθη η ώρα να ξεκινήσουν για την εκκλησία, βγάζουν την νύφη στην αυλή για να δωρήσει στους συγγενείς της. Ολοι οι συγγενείς της περνούν με την σειρά και την κερνούν. Αυτή τους φιλάει το χέρι και βάζει και στον δεξιό ώμο του καθενός από μια πετσέτα άσπρη υφαντή. Με τις πετσέτες στους ώμους μπαίνουν στον χορό. Στο δώρισμα τα όργανα παίζουν λυπητερά τραγούδια. Την Δευτέρα, μετά το φαγητό, η νύφη θα δώριζε στα πεθερικά και στους στενούς συγγενείς. Το δώρισμα στα πεθερικά ήταν πουκάμισα, μαντήλια και σκουφούνια. Στους άλλους συγγενείς από μιά πετσέτα. | English translation | When the time came for them to go to the church, the bride used to get out in the yard in order to offer gifts to the relatives. All the relatives used to pass one by one and place a white towel on the top of each one of their arms. With those towels on their arms they used to enter the dance. When the gifts were given the instruments had to play sad songs. On Monday, after the food, the bride used to offer gifts to her parents in law and her close relatives. Those gifts included shirts, kerchiefs and ''skufadia''. The rest of the relatives were gifted a towel. Each one of them that received a gift had to offer the bride money. With the gifts on their arms, they used to go out in the yard and dance to the sound of the instruments. After the end of the dance |
