| Original text | Είναι ο κατ' εξοχήν χορός του ανδρογύνου, κατά την διάρκειαν του οποίου τραγουδούν οι παρευρισκόμενοι. Φέρει το μέτρον 2/4, βασικά βήματα 8, στάσις προσοχής η μία αντίκρυ στην άλλη εις απόστασιν 5-6 ποδιών, τα χέρια κρατάνε μαντηλάκι από τα δύο αντίθετα άκρα με τα δύο δάκτυλα στο κάθε χέρι (τον αντίχειρα και τον δείκτη) στο ύψος του στήθους. Περιγράφονται τα βασικά βήματα και οι παραλλαγές τους, με σχήματα των θέσεων των πελμάτων. |
| English translation | It is the main dance of the married couple during which the gathered people sing. It has 2/4 metre, 8 basic steps, and a stand at attention - facing each other at a distance of 5-6 feet, hands holding a small kerchief by its two opposite corners, with two fingers of each hand (the index finger and the thumb) at chest height. The basic steps and their variations are described together with the schemes for the placement of the soles/steps. |
