| Original text | Χορεύουν οι νέοι, μετά οι νέες. Αργά το απόγευμα θα χορέψει το αντρόγυνο. Πρώτα ο γαμπρός με τον κουμπάρο, μετά η νύφη με την κουμέρα, οπότε τραγουδιούνται τα παινέματα του γαμπρού, της νύφης και των συγγενών (αναφέρονται παραδείγματα). Πλουμίζουν τον βιολάρη στον δίσκο, κολλούν της νύφης στο μέτωπο χρυσά νομίσματα. Στο χωριό Πιτσυλιά ο χορός του ανδρογύνου αρχίζει με τον γυναικείο Καρσιλαμά, χορεύει λίγο ο γαμπρός και μετά φεύγει για να χορέψει η νύφη με την κουμέρα. Ετσι γίνεται στο γλέντι του γάμου της Δευτέρας. |
| English translation | The young men dance first, then the maidens. The married couple would dance late in the evening. First the groom with the best man, then the bride with the maid, and the praises to the groom, the bride, and the relatives are being sung (examples are listed/mentioned). They adorn the fiddler on the plate; they stick golden coins to the bride’s forehead. In the village of Pitsoulia, the dance of the married couple begins with the female Karsilama, the groom dances a little and then he leaves to let the bride dance with the maids. Thus the festivities of the wedding’s Monday are being celebrated. |
