The innovative approach of research on Greek dance.
(Born in 1974) – she graduated from Institute of Musicology at University of Warsaw in 1999. Her MA thesis written under the guidance of professor Anna Czekanowska, concerned Jewish songs from Menachem Kipnis’ collection, published in Warsaw in the interwar period. Jewish music performed both in Poland and its neighbouring countries before the Holocaust, in a wide cultural context, is in her range of interests. For this purpose she has participated in inquiries in libraries and archives in Vilnius, Berlin and Jerusalem. She has also conducted field research in Poland. Agnieszka Jeż is a member of National Seminar in Ethnomusicology at University of Warsaw.
