Alkis Raftis was born in 1942 in Athens although his family’s history is connected with Epirus and Eastern Thrace. His parents were members of Resistance during the Nazi occupation.

I wrote my PhD dissertation Self-Identification of Slav-speaking Elites from the Territory of Macedonia under Ottoman Rule (19th century) in the field of Cultural Studies at the Faculty of 'Artes Liberales', University of Warsaw, Poland, under the supervision of prof. Jolanta Sujecka within the interdisciplinary framework of International PhD Projects programme.

She graduated from Institute of Musicology at University of Warsaw in 1999. Her MA thesis written under the guidance of professor Anna Czekanowska, concerned Jewish songs from Menachem Kipnis’ collection, published in Warsaw in the interwar period.

Michał Mizera

Assistant professor at the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” at the University of Warsaw, graduate of classical civilization class at the Nowodworski High School No. 1 in Cracow. He pursued individual studies at the Faculty of Philology at the Jagiellonian University that included Polish Philology, Theatre Studies and Classical Philology. He completed his doctoral studies in the field of European Studies at the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University.

Absolwentka Filologii Polskiej Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (2006) oraz Podyplomowych Studiów Teorii Tańca na Uniwersytecie Muzycznym Fryderyka Chopina (2011). W 2011 roku ukończyła szkolenie na warsztatach choreologicznych w Instytucie Choreologii w Poznaniu prowadzone przez prof. dr. hab. Roderyka Langego i mgr Urszulę Loba-Wilgocką. Doktorantka Instytutu Sztuki Polskiej Akademii Nauk.
